To build capacity in STEM through accessible public engagement and outreach activities.
To be a unifying hub for the scientific community and work collaboratively towards bridging the gap between science and the public particularly within underserved communities.
GhScientific is an international science communication organisation working with community groups, schools, universities, STEM professionals and organisation to build capacity in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) through public engagement and outreach activities. Through our projects, we aim to increase science capital in underserved communities and improve social class. GhScientific is a registered UK charity and NGO in Ghana with offices in both locations.
GhScientific also exists as an online platform providing STEM related news, events, opportunities, resources and informative blogs.
GhScientific was set up in 2014 with the sole purpose of building capacity in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) through public engagement and outreach activities. The founders, Dr Hephzi Tagoe, a skin biologists and Dr. Thomas Tagoe a neuroscience researcher were inspired by their experiences navigating the UK STEM scene and the desire to give back.
The brother and sister duo launched GhScientific initially as an online platform with the believe that by creating a science network, all stakeholders within the field of STEM can pool together to achieve great impact.
GhScientific currently operates in the UK and in Ghana with the aim of making stem accessible.
It allows you to gather monthly subscriptions from fans to help fund your creative projects. They also encourage their users to offer rewards to fans as a way to repay them for their support.
